Lexington Christian 91 Rowan County 57

Featured Replies

Things to consider:

Lexington Christian has already won 20 games this season for a record of 20-4. They only have one loss by over 20 points and that was early in the season (first week of December) to Notre Dame. LCA has beaten ranked/highly regarded teams such as Lexington Catholic (twice), Lincoln County, Franklin County, and Newport Central Catholic and in recent weeks won the Class A state championship. They were ranked ahead of Rowan in the BGP and Litkenhous ratings.

And now I guess rightly so!

The only thing I could do when I heard this score was

:scared:

2/6/2009

Lexington Christian 91

Rowan Co. 57

Lexington Christian 26 27 28 10 91

Rowan Co. 10 24 15 8 57

Lexington Christian (19-4) -- Clifton 36, Martin 34, Barnette 15, Dorton 2, Rinehart 2, Purdy 2.

Rowan Co. (19-1) -- Brockman 7, Riddle 15, Martin 6, Muncy 5, Kiser 2, Neely 4, Kissinger 6, Hamecton 12.

Maybe we can get a rundown from Mr Viking?

Look for the Lady Vikings to learn from the loss and get on a roll.

Wow very big nights for Martin and Clifton.

Where is mr. Viking ? We need a run down on this one !

Lexington Christian has a huge team. The 3 girls who scored all the points are 5'11,5'10 and 6'2. They have 6 other girls from 5'10 to 6'. The height caused Rowan alot of problems just like Conner from Ashland did.

Martin is clearly the 2nd best player in the state. She shows up every night to play. DePaul is getting a great kid and an excellent player in Martin. Clifton is going to be a very good player for WKU as well. When Barnette accepts she is the 3rd option and looks to the other 2 girls first LCA is going to be very hard to beat. Look for them to be ready to play come tournament time, they should make the trip to BG. They have the talent to win it all again but must get Martin and Clifton's best game with Barnette being the 3rd option and looking to Martin and Clifton first IMO.

Only one way to put this one...a good old fashioned butt whipping! LCA hit something like 15 of 22 3's many in transition. What a team and what a performance. Very athletic and highly skilled. They are as good or better than adverised. Best team I have seen this year and one of the best performances I have ever seen. Hats off to the Lady Eagles.

Who is clearly the best player?

Rowan County was obviously exposed as a fraud. They will probably win their weak region, but could not compete in Louisville or Lexington. If LCA keeps playing this way, they will be tough to beat in March.

Who is clearly the best player?

I would say Adia Mathies. She is rated # 1 by Blue Chip All-Stars and is rated as the # 4 player in the Nation. From what I have seen of her over the last 3 years she is one of the best I have see play in many years.

#4 in the country? Can a link be posted to those rankings???

We dont really appreciate anyone calling our team a fraud. Yes, Rowan was beaten badly in this game, but one bad game doesn't make us a fraud.
