You and I must be the only ones who have heard of Watts and Roark. That's OK maybe they will sneak up on some people.

 

I know about Watts, some what. I remember back in '07 when Bell made the trip up to McCreary, which would be his soph. year I beleive. He was quite impressive back then, he moved the ball effectively all night on what was a very tough Defense. Then if I'm thinking right he did get injured last year and missed some games. I dont remember if McCreary is on the schedule for '09 or not, but I'm hoping so, I'd like to see him play, should be an electrifying kid to watch in his senior season.

Watts had almost 900 yards and only played 5 and a half games. he is a great athlete and is complimented very well by Zack Roark. It should be a fun year but we have the toughes schedule Mccreary has ever had and play in the toughest district in 4-A. Bell, Knox and Rock were all in the top 10 at one time or another last year and most of the time they were in the top 10 at the same time. But, I am definately looking forward to August!

Watts was a Soph. that year and he did have a good game. Now he has some help in the Backfield in Zack Roark 6'2 210 lbs. Roark rushed for over 1000 yds.last year. McCreary will have 2, 1000 yd rushers in the same Backfield. They should be fun to watch and create a lot of problems for most Teams.

He'll put up big numbers again. I know he has caught the eye of UK.

 

If I'm not mistaken I believe he has also got some attention from UC, UL, Alabama and some other small division I schools

But you have left off the best senior in the state - Central LB Tim Patterson.

 

He's 6-5, 225 and a beast. The few times I have seen him I thought he was the best player on the defense, including Wilson and Cobble.

 

Heard an interview with the Central coach last week and said besides UK and U of L that Florida, USC, Florida State and Alabama are on him.

 

I was wondering how far I needed to scroll before seeing him mentioned. I thought I was going to have to do it.

:thumb:I attended the Blue-Gray Midwest Combine in Cincinnati this past weekend and came away impressed with three lineman, Jacob Smith of Newport Catholic, Robert Watson of Trinity and Zane Karrer of St. X. Karrer & Watson got after each other in one on one drills like all good rivals do.

Max Godby of CAL is the best center in the state. He is 6'4'' 265 lbs squats 455 lbs Bench 365 lbs. 3 year starter, can T snap, shot gun snap, and long snap for punts and field goals. He has already been to U of L, UK, UT, and Western. He also is getting looks from LSU, Alabama, FL, and others. the kid has great feet and is very smart, 3.85 GPA.:thumb:

 

Max is also a great person to boot. His great uncle coached at UK under "The Barron" in the 60's. Class family. I wish the best for him!
