What mysteryman ment to say is every single game HC has played this year you have said the big man would beat HC. Its never the case. Example, you said Smith is too tough for HC and last night Egan got into Smith's head and Smith fouled out and had 3 points..

I was waiting for your analysis from the game since someone's prediction was pretty dead on.

What game were you watching? Everyone collapsed on Pittman anytime he got the ball down low, hence Riley and Rico having such big games from out on the arc. The only time Egan guarded Pittman straight up was when he didn't have the ball or when Pittman had the ball out on the arc.

 

Would love to see CCH pull out the victory to see a Holmes/HC rematch. That's the only way those two will meet up again IMO....:sssh:

 

If Hc makes it out of the district why couldnt they go far in the region? they have beat teams in the region. I think the region is a mix up the way Holmes has been playing lately minus the Dixie game they could get upset by any team in the region that plays them agressive IMO. Holmes is not the team they were last year. Where is the district this year?

:lol:Well congrats to you. As for me not much to say about that game IMO besides Smith couldn't handle Egan/Sullivan and that Romes is a very good player.

 

For this game I want to say Holy Cross and think they will win, but never know with CCH.

 

As far as I know Shover is going to try to play some and Pauly was in crutches at the HC/Beechwood game last night so I don't think he will be.

I cant wait to see what the HC cheering section has for tomorrow night.

I never said they couldn't go far in the region IF they make it out of districts..I was referring to them most likely not getting past Beechwood in the first round if they win this game.

 

Don't let one close game with Scott fool you about Holmes. They are still the team to beat. Only one 9th region school had played within 10 points of them and that was Conner who lost by 7. You're right though...they aren't the same team as last year...they're better. Let's wait til next Tues after Holmes has played both Holmes and Boone to declare the 9th a toss up. :thumb:

Maybe one or two players are high on themselves but don't lump the whole team in that category because that's incorrect and honestly disrespectful to a few players like Rico, JJ, Riley, Housely, and D. Johnson who never say a word during the games and just play ball.

 

Also I'd say JJ, Housely, and D. Johnson do the dirty work. Very rarely do you see them as the leading scorers but you always see JJ and Housely somewhere in the top 2 or 3 in rpg.

They better worry about beating CovCath because if they don't their season will be over the first game of the districts. Plus, even they do beat CovCath they would have to beat Beechwood to get out of the districts which would be very difficult to do.

 

Holmes is the clear cut favorite in the 9th...period.
