I have been more then supportive of Greenup County, and I am not worried about anything. Raceland is already two months ahead of Greenup County. The two transfers that have come in, have said repeatedly that they did not know that any program worked this hard in the off season. They have never seen a winter program like this. They are amazed. Raceland will be OK.

A very important board meeting scheduled for Monday, February 16th at Argillite Elementary School AT 6:00PM. There will be discussion of the money allotted for the football program. Everyone interested is encouraged to attend. The School Officials also stated that Coach Copely will be at the school on Friday in meetings with the School Officials and talking with the students. Coach Copely will also be at the last regular season Boys Basketball game on Saturday to be introduced to the fans and supporters. Everyone needs to come out and support our program. The more support from the community we have, the better we can have a chance for our children to have the best of all sports programs here at Greenup Co.High School. :thumb:

This is what we are building toward, a great all around program. Greenup is behind the 8 ball right now, we really need to get up and running on winter weight lifting.

Thanks. I hope that Greenup County gets the ball rolling on the winter program and makes up for lost time. I think with a young energetic coach and what appears to be good support, they will. Just don't get to good, we have to win 3 games to tie the series.

PureFan, I don't think there are many in our area that are not supportive of all schools. That is why I think this site is so fun. I now have friends in the Ashland area, Johnson County, Russell, NKY and even in the Western end of the state. I have actually met up with old Greenup County buds, here and living away from here. We've been able to laugh and cut on each other about the "glory days". I am addicted to the forums!!!!!!!!

You are right about that, this site has been loads of fun for me, also. Being able to talk football in offseason is a lifesaver! I have always loved football, wasn't a player but did keep stats for my high school team. I was right there on the sidelines during our state championship game.

Suggestion also put him on the radio at halftime or is that what your're saying about being introduced. They did the same thing a few years ago with new baseball coach Greg Logan.:clap:
