I was about for about 2 hours today trying to get my car out of the snow. I got it out butt needed some help from the neighbor with a plow on his Quad. So it got me thinking. How long have you shoveled the past few days.

I've spent probably 3 or 4 hours shoveling over the past two days.

Dug my car out this morning which took about a half hour then went to my grandmother's house and did her sidewalks and driveway and did the same at my dad's house.

0 hours shoveling, I paid the neighborhood kids 25 bucks to do the driveway.

I did spend about an hour each day cleaning off the family's cars and putting salt down.

That ice was murder to get off the top of the family SUV. I forsee some flying sheets of ice on the expressway tomorrow!

I shoveled yesterday for about 1.5 hours, and the same today, with some nice salt coverage....this morning was the worst, I had to dig the solid ice out of the bottom of my driveway from the plow.

We have very long drive way. If you count yesterday and today, probably 4 hours with four people digging/shoveling us out. By the time we did clear the driveway again this morning, it started snowing once more. If you had a chance to see the Kyle's Lane exit and the trucks stuck on I-75 about 11:00am you will understand.

Me and my dad did our drive way, helped the people next door and then did the older ladys house beside us today. Took around 2 hours.

That was really nice of you and your Dad. I'm sure your neighbor's appreciated it.

That's so nice Eta Rho. We also went to my Mom's yesterday and shoveled her walk/driveway. I know it needs it again, but I can only do so much.

Not much snow in Garrard County; used a broom to sweep the driveway - took about 10 minutes.

As for ice, different story. I have 12 trees (most 20-50 years old) on my 1/2 acre lot. All have received damage from the ice. I counted 25 branches that have fallen, many of which were between 15-25 feet long.

Spent quite a bit today. I shoveled and put salt down in our yard and sidewalk yesterday although that didnt take to long. Cleaned my car off and tried to dig it out today but that bad boy wouldnt move an inch. Tires just kept spinning on ice. Later helped my mom clean her car off and then was able to get her car out with the help of a few neighbors pushing it. All in all got a nice workout today.
