January 28, 200917 yr No power at my abode this morning. Walking up the street was treacherous. Trees down, one blocking the street, another on a car. Powerlines down. Things crashing all around. Once I got to Bardstown Road, the road was great, there was light....until the transformer near where I was standing blew. Do I get hazard pay? You deserve hazard pay!!

January 28, 200917 yr What is it with teenagers and snowy hazardous roads? It seems the more dangerous the news guys make it out to be the more eager the younguns are to get in the 4 wheel drive and try it out. Drives me crazy. I hate snow days.:irked::isurrender:

I hate snow days.:irked::isurrender: HAHA...I drove past him when he was out there cleaning off the front of the vehicle. He had the wipers up and cleaning away! I dropped my wife off this morning downtown and the roads were not that bad at all. However it started snowing on my way over there and by the time I had dropped her off and heading back to the house it was getting crazy! The roads in FTT are a MESS!
January 28, 200917 yr I worked from Lexington to Louisa today (got a voicemail late that I didn't have to get out in the conditions) and saw 7 different wrecks in the 2:45 I was on the road. When the interstate is that awful you know the back roads are worse! Well, at least you had some beautiful country to look at. I just drove that same route on Monday.

January 28, 200917 yr Will your hotel be busier today than normal because folks are without power? I came in this morning, we had 30 rooms to sell. Between those without power, those who can't leave the hotel, those who left and had to come back, we sold all of those in less that an hour.
