Went to the grocery today because we were just about out of dog food and cat food. There were NO carts in the "cart staging area"; but someone came in with a few right behind me.

 

The place was a madhouse. Not quite like Wally World on Black Friday, but not too far off.

Yes,and was there for over 9 hours. I work there.:lol:

 

Ditto for me. 8 3/4 hours.

I let my parents deal with the shopping.

My wife went tonight, but out of pure necessity, not the "storm". We had no milk, no bread, no lunch meat, etc, so we really needed to go. We were planning on going yesterday, but by the time we could head out, the snow was coming down pretty good, so we decided to wait.

I had to go. The boy got home today from Centre. They just finished Centre term and he's home for a week.:ohbrother:

 

The store wasn't too bad. Deli took forever, but then again it always does.

I went to the gas station this morning after conditioning to get some milk. This was before I was aware it was supposed to snow again tonight.

ME TOO!!! And not because of the weather forecast, I only needed a couple of things (bread, mayo, pop). :thumb:

 

I did the dog food thing yesterday too!! Sure can't forget our furry friends!!:ylsuper:

No, but I need to go tomorrow after work. Hopefully, the crowds will have gotten it out of their system today. Although, they'll probably go again tomorrow. Isn't it crazy?

I went this evening. Bad idea. It was so crowded and they were out of gallons of milk, so I had to get 5 half gallons. I was looking at peoples carts to see what all they were getting and it was all junk food lol. I just got milk, bread, laundry detergent, cinnamon rolls, popcorn and pop. So I guess We got some junk too.

Just left, only to get dinner though.. Bread was non existent.

Hey, isn't it like people to buy up all the 2.5-gallon jugs of milk just before the weather turns nasty?

 

I remember when we had the REALLY bad snowstorm several years ago - two feet of snow and 24 below zero. When we finally got dug out, the old guy across the street wanted to know if I would take him to get some medicine.

 

Turned out that "medicine" was cigarettes and Old Milwaukee.

My buddy is a manager at one of the Lexington Kroger and he told me the store made $30,000 more than the average day. Do you know how much more you would have to sell to make that much more??? :eek:

Erlanger Krogers has a kiosk when you first walk in that you can make your deli order and then pick it up in 15 minutes. No standing in slow, long lines anymore.

Yes I was at the Bellevue Krogers at about 6:30 this morning after I took my wife to work ,was almost out of cat food .
