This is a baptism for Trinity's young football team next season.

Trinity is always going to have a lot of seniors. I classify a senior who has never started and played sparingly in his sophomore and junior seasons as a "young" player.

 

Inexperience might be a more fitting way to describe it.

What I think this schedule allows is Trinity to play for a National Championship in 2010. Think about it, Elder and X are both at home that year...and Kragthorpe is only a junior as well as a bunch of other players coming up. It will help them run for the state title next year but the following year could be a big one for the program.

The 2010 squad will be an extremely young team made up almost entirely of Juniors. There were only 22 sophomores on the team this season and you can expect more to drop off before they become seniors. Who knows Kragthorpes situation if his dad doesn't succeed next season at UofL. It's going to be a very interesting year for the Rocks. But we're getting way ahead of ourselves. every year, things seem to work themselves out.

That was the first thing that I thought of when I saw the schedule. This freshman class which is so special will be JRs and a large portion of the biggest games are at home. Krags will be a SR.

 

There is a lot that has to go right including a 20th state championship which (in my opinion) would have to come first in order to put them in the position going into 2010 to be able to make that sort of move. One game at a time.

 

After many interviews with Beatty, this is what he came here to do. Beating lesser talent to a pulp is not his idea of a good win. He wants and wants his kids to play in front of the largest crowds, play the best talent and win at the highest level.

Ths, I think you are correct. My son just got home from lifting and told me the Lawrence North game was a home game. The team is totally pumped about this schedule. Go Rocks!!

This class of 80 alum is looking forward to seeing some of my old teammates at that game.

Those back to back two hour drives to Cincinnati won't be fun but next 5/6 at home. First time Lawrence North has left Indiana since 2000 bake some cookies for them Rockmom

Three of final Four Class 5A teams from this conference. Losses included Lawrence Central, Center Grove, Carmel, Warren Central, & Fishers in the playoffs. Beat Ben Davis in regular season.

Lawrence North to play football in Louisville

The Lawrence North High School football team will play at Louisville Trinity on Aug. 28, athletic director Grant Nesbit said Thursday. Louisville Trinity will be the first out-of-state opponent for Lawrence North since the 2000 season, when the Wildcats played Joliet (Ill.) Catholic.

"We are excited to get such a quality opponent as Trinity," Nesbit said via e-mail. "Their national reputation is well deserved and we are excited about the opportunity."

 

The Wildcats will host Louisville Trinity in 2010 as part of a two-year contract finalized this week.
