There have been threads about best game day atmosphere, uniforms, etc., but I have not seen any thread about traditions that are unique to your specific HS football team/school.
What are some of the special traditions that are out there around the state?
If this thread as been started, someone please link to that thread.
Too big is a weak argument. They play high school playoff/championship games at the ATT Stadium in Dallas. No way a HS game is filling even the lower bowl. Most college games don't.
It is about the experience of the player, being on the big stage. Certainly more fans the merrier, but being on the field playing a game in a big time football program's field is part of the achievement of making it to the championship game.
In my opinion this is why WKU is not the best option, it's simply not a big time feel.
These numbers would only have Trinity (1316) and St.X (1436) in 6A.
The other schools with the highest number of boys are, which would be your 5A
Paul Dunbar (1140)
Henderson County (1058)
Henry County (1055)
Lafayette (1003)
Scott County (1027)
Eastern (1043)
Male (816)
PRP (866)
Manual (822)
Either option does not seem better the current one we have.
These are numbers from 2006-2007 school year, don't have the latest numbers yet.
Injury occurred in the second quarter, they taped it and he went back in the game. Something happened on the INT that caused him to take himself out. From the sideline it looked like he had no follow through on the throw, due to the poor footing.
A little of both, they drove the opening second half possession for a score, they picked off Kragthorpe and ran it back for a TD and hit a FG working with a short field do to a Trinity fumble.
The momentum really started to change when they completed a Hail Mary for a TD with time running out of the first half.
That was the first thing that I thought of when I saw the schedule. This freshman class which is so special will be JRs and a large portion of the biggest games are at home. Krags will be a SR.
There is a lot that has to go right including a 20th state championship which (in my opinion) would have to come first in order to put them in the position going into 2010 to be able to make that sort of move. One game at a time.
After many interviews with Beatty, this is what he came here to do. Beating lesser talent to a pulp is not his idea of a good win. He wants and wants his kids to play in front of the largest crowds, play the best talent and win at the highest level.
