I read it, a lot of good info, and it took a while. Louisville has some D-1 players. I have to call Nick. Also nice article about Coaches who are African-American on the front page. Fern Creek is picked to win the district over Male. Not a bad pick. I also think Manual will do well and beat the Blue Chicks in the first game. Oh, I know it the Birds. :isurrender:

According to the NKY contest, Manual being seriously overlooked. Last years game was closer than the score indicated. I believe Manual is much better this year. Should be very competitive.

Also nice article about Coaches who are African-American

IMO this is what causes racism to stay in America. IMO if I was a coach I wouldn't want an article praising me just because I was a black head or assistant coach. I would want the article to discuss my team and how good I have led my team and what makes me a good coach. Being white or black doesn't make a good coach. I do agree there are a lot of good coaches who are black that may never get a chance, but to keep writing stories on this stuff just causes problems IMO. I hope the best people coach regardless of color. When schools start getting pressure to hire black coaches it is reverse discrimination. So why bother writing this stuff, it just cause problems.

I also read the article and it was a good article, but IMO not necessary to keep writing these type of stories just because of color.

Totally agree! Sports at least now days I thought was the one place where the color of one's skin is irrelevant.

There is no such thing as reverse discrimination, it's just plan ole discrimination anyway you slice. Nevertheless, I do get your point.

I think the article also mentions how these guys are good people and care about the kids and thats the bottom line. And if you notice they are at schools which haven't done too well in the past twenty years or so. And I know about Central.

Another year and everyone is picking Fern Creek (again) to win the district, I love it, I have been hearing that for 4-5 years now and they still haven't beat the Dawgs.
