mcpapa Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Final from the Kenton County Classic. Dixie has been winning the close ones lately.
BaseballIsLife Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Wow and the wins keep on coming for Dixie.
Fast Hands Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Veryexciting game to watch! With coach Kenny C being sick and unable to coach. #23 Pike led the team with 13 and hit the Game Winner! #20 Boese Had 11 hit some big shots Dixie is starting to impress me with how well they play, they really have improved from the start of the season til this point. Congrats the Dixie! :dancingpa
Voice of Reason Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 This is one of the better in season turn arounds I have seen in a while. Coach Chevalier is doing one heck of a job with this young team.
gametime Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Fun game to call, but it was also very sloppy for long stretches on each side. I did really like what I saw from the Pike kid. He's only a Frosh???

gametime Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Yessir. Looking forward to seeing him again Saturday. Time to back it up...

gametime Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Should be a soph. if I'm not mistaken... Nothing new any more. Very common...
Eta Rho Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Nothing new any more. Very common... I know GT. Was just stating he isn't a true freshman...hence him being much more polished and physically bigger/stronger than most freshmen which allows him to play and contribute at the varsity level. Still a very solid player though, regardless of his age. He had a really good summer on the AAU circuit.

We'll see how he holds up against HHS soon enough...

I haven't had the chance to see him since early summer...looking forward to seeing him against HHS though..

We'll see how he holds up against HHS soon enough... He comes and goes, as does just about every frosh varsity contributor, but he'll definitely be one of the top players in the next couple of years.

Congrats the Dixie! :dancingpa Coach Kenny C being sick is the reason they won the game. Kenny would have set Pike the last 4 minutes of the game. Rod Snapp design the game winner for Pike.
