January 19, 200917 yr So they've lost three games, and dropped 9 spots in three weeks.... Where's the problem?
January 19, 200917 yr Notre Dame IMO will get beat up pretty good in the Big East. Tough luck for them. Not on their home floor...
January 19, 200917 yr Author Not on their home floor... GT- what's their home streak at now, it is unbelievable.
January 19, 200917 yr AP Poll is out: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/rankings?poll=1&year=2009&week=11 The writers think far more of UK than the coaches. They've got UK at 28. Still not in the top 25, but close. They also have Florida in the Top 25, giving the SEC their only top 25 team.
January 19, 200917 yr Also of note on the AP Poll: -Louisville is back in the top 10 in the AP Poll, up to 9th. -A little math tells me that Wake Forest was rated 3rd or below in a couple of polls. They are 7 points shy of 1800 (or unanimous), and only 4 voters picked Duke #1. So someone or some people are out of their minds.
January 19, 200917 yr Anybody know what Notre Dame's RPI is? According to both RealTimeRPI and Joe Lunardi's InsideRPI, 63.
January 19, 200917 yr According to both RealTimeRPI and Joe Lunardi's InsideRPI, 63. Thanks. I thought it was very low.
January 19, 200917 yr UK not being in the top 25 shows me that these polls have no credibility whatsoever. Oh well, just keep on winning and we'll see what happens.
January 19, 200917 yr UK not being in the top 25 shows me that these polls have no credibility whatsoever. Oh well, just keep on winning and we'll see what happens. How many ranked teams has UK beaten? If the tournament started today, what would there resumè look like?
January 19, 200917 yr I can see why UK is left out. The win at Tennessee, while a good one, is not necessarily an eye-opening win. UT is good, but not nearly as good as we once imagined. And Georgia...well, they're just awful. But as MSUEagles said, just keep winning.
January 19, 200917 yr Just keep winning and the ranking will work themselves out. My thoughts exactly...
January 19, 200917 yr 1 and 2 are right. I'd put North Carolina at #3 though. I'd have Clemson higher as well. If your going to put a SEC in the top 25 it's Kentucky and not Florida IMO.
