^ There is a new Powerade that is out that has zero calories. It's not as good but for Zero calories I like it. Other than that I think are just as bad.

I'll look into it. I think I know what you're talking about, although I've never paid much attention to it.

I just need something cold to drink other than water sometimes. I drink a lot of water throughout in the morning & throughout the day & after some exercise a Powerade or Gatorade just sounds great.

I LOVE the taste of the Vitamin water product but it has calories. Propel by Gatoraide doesn't have a lot of taste but is flavored water pretty much.

Next step is eating healthier. I'm thinking about cutting out the soft drinks, but I love me some Mt. Dew & Coke. I'm around Diet Dew a lot, but never drink it. Do any of you guys know how much slimming down to Diet helps? Does it help at all?

I am not totally sure, but considering diet soft drinks don't have any calories...it helps quite a bit I would think.

I quit dipping a can of Copenhagen a day for over 20 years ( 4 years tobacco free). I've gone a year without eating a McDonalds burger and fries, but the one thing I will not give up is my Diet Mtn. Dew!!!!!!! I'll drink a 2L everyday.

Well, I feel somewhat less crappy now that I see some others had results similar to mine.

Don't feel crappy. I am wanting to know how hard those people losing 10-15lbs in 2 weeks are working. I could never do that. I don't think I would be healthy if I lost that much that fast. That is how much I want to lose total. If I could do that in 2 weeks what would be the point lol. I would literally have to starve myself and exercise non stop to get those results.

I'm with ya MrsFF. I want to lose probably 10-15 pounds. It won't be difficult if I develop better habits (such as working out / exercising regularly, eating less crappy food, etc.) but I'm thinking more long term.

I'd love to shed 10 pounds quick, but I'd much rather prefer a little work and being able to keep it off. In all reality, I need to make a few lifestyle changes if I want to look & feel better and that's what I'm hoping I'll be able to do.

Lifestyle change is what I am working on!!! :) I like to eat and i don't like to exercise, so its quite hard.

That's the true secret to all of this. Yo yo dieting isn't going to work for anyone. People who go off strict diets generally regain all of the weight they lost, plus a large percentage more. It's one thing to starve yourself for a time; but to have lasting success, you have to change the whole way you think about food and excercise. The changes don't have to be (and shouldn't be) drastic. You have to find the kind of changes you can live with for the rest of your life.

Proper diet will help some. If you don't exercise I can't see it being a positive experience. I really notice a difference with me mentally in the past few weeks. Even when I don't feel like going, I do anyway and when I'm finished the reward I feel is better than skipping desert.

So I lost 3 pounds last I checked. I don't know how though cause I haven't really started my excercise stuff cause I HATE excercising if it isn't playing a sport [which I dont have time for right now]. And I eat like crap.

I have changed everything from the way I eat to when I eat, most of this was water weight I know that but now I start exercising more regualr. I started walking last week and I did a lot of walking. My goal is 70 lbs, and I plan on this taking at least a year or more. My doctor tells me that 5 lbs a week is very good and I ended loosing 8 lbs a week, now I may go for a week or two and not loose any. I have yo-yo all my life and it is horrible to loose a lot and then gain it back.

I agree. I have done this numerous times. I have been big all my life, even as a child, and have yo-yo on and off for over 30 years now.

I never had a real weight problem till i showed up at EKU and discovered beer and that Domino's Pizza delivered in 1980. :D
