Great road win for the Gophers. They hit a 3 as time expired in regulation to send it to OT, then held on to win it.

 

Tubby's crew battled back from an 11 point halftime deficit to get the win in a very tough venue.

 

Minnesota is now 16-1 overall with a 4-1 Big Ten record.

I watched this, did anyone see one of Tub's assistants trying to calm the bench down after one of the Gophers had a big 3 point play. What was up with that? Are 18 - 21 year olds not aloud to enjoy themselves.

Most teams have a coach on the bench whose job it is to make sure that none of the players on the bench causes anything to get a technical foul. While it doesn't happen that often, there has been some officials to call a "T" on the bench for excessive celebration and the Gophers did not want this to happen in such a criticial time. It isn't because they don't want the kids to celebrate...they just don't want an untimely technical on the bench or have the official stop the game because of a warning.

I don't know any of the circumstances of this game because I didn't watch it, but I still stand by my statement that U of L was very fortunate to win their last 3 games. I wonder if their luck will continue this weekend?:sssh:

The last score I seen, they were down double digits and I went to bed. When I seen the score this morning I could not believe it, way to go Gophers!
