Has anybody been watching the games at Cov. Cath.? Looks like a competitive tournament.

CovCath smoked Highlands in the 1st Round.

9th looks like:

Conner vs. SK

Scott vs. Boone

Dixie vs. Holmes

Cov Cath vs. NCC

All pretty close games. Dixie by 12 over Beechwood. CovCath by 9 over Highlands. Conner, NCC, Scott close games. Great 2nd round games coming on Sat.

This technically isn't a 9th region tournament because of SK and Scott, but overall some great basketball out in Park Hills so far. I think there will be more to come.

Whose the favorite early on?

Yea I heard Carter New didnt play for the Birds and they lost by 9. Im sure they could have used his scoring.

I believe Dixie is 19-2, so they would be the favorite.

I might have overemphasized the result. I heard a 19 point game so my bad.

I agree. There should be some good ball on Saturday. The first game starts at 3:00 p.m. Cov. Cath. does a great job hosting this tournament. The National Anthem, player introductions and announcing throughout the game, give it a varsity atmosphere. It's a great experience for the kids.

It is too bad that Campbell County is not in this tourney. They beat Scott, Dixie, Holmes and Cov Cath and lost to NCC by four.

I agree. How did CC lose to NCC? I watched them play Holmes and they didnt impress me much. Was Hightchew playing with them at the time? I know they moved him up midseason.

Those are some signature wins you mentioned.

The Camels are currently 12-2 (6 games cancelled and not rescheduled as of yet) with losses to Mason by 2 in 2OT and NCC by 4 with Hightchew and a big kid that I am told are now playing JV/V.

They play Brossart in the 37th district championship @ Brossart on Tuesday at 5:30. The Camels beat Brossart 40-25 back in December.

Both Brossart and the Camels are good teams with a lot of high quality athletes and very good coaching staffs! These Birds are wishing all of you guys good luck!
