Prayers Needed for Mayfield Football Players

Featured Replies

Evidently the lake has a very strong current and the fear is that they may have been carried down to the dam... if I am incorrect please tell me, but I remember the dam as being hydroelectric - producer of electricity w/turbines. If that is so, the young men may never be recovered. Let's all pray for the best!

You are correct. Once the accident was reported they supposedly cut off generation. Latest word was they fear they may not surface until the spring when the water warms and the lake "turns over."

Prayers that they find them soon.

I agree I hope that they find them so their families can have some closure to this terrible tragedy.

FINALLY...some good news for the familes as the boys' bodies were found late Tuesday afternoon in the same area where the body of Trevor Williams was found. The bodies were found in 53-feet of water. Thankfully the families of the two teenage boys can now get on with the funeral arrangements and let the grieving process begin. Keep these families in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you to all the well wishes for all of us here in the Mayfield and Graves County communities.

Our prayers reach out to all involved...

Thank God for that small blessing in the midst of tragedy.

I am thankful that the bodies were found and that the families can have closure. I truly pray that the outcome would have been different in the beginning but now the families can have closure. May God take care of these families and my prayers go out to them.

Well said , and I agree.

I have many friends in the Mayfield community and prayers go out to those families and the school as well as the community.
