I look at this thread every day not knowing what to say, just hoping to read that something positive has happened. It really bothers me since I love football & hunting. So tragic! May the very hand of God reach down and bless all involved.... It sure is heartwarming to see all of the responses from fellow BGPers.

Please continue to keep us appraised...all of us in Oldham County are praying for everyone in Mayfield...the players, the parents, family and friends, and the rescuers...

All of us here in Mayfield and associated with the program are very much appreciative of all the well wishes from everyone here on BGP. The weather is a real problem this week in the recovery of the bodies as with the bitterly cold conditions and the high winds it has made it very hard getting boats out on the water. Hopefully today divers will be able to get out and take a look at some of the hits the sonar boat found yesterday. What has also made recovery harder is that there is a lot of tree stumps and debris still in the water from a Tornado that hit the area a couple of years ago giving false "blips" on the GPS and sonar boats systems. The community here has been great with food and monetary donations for the workers and families. And the students have really pulled together for each other this week during this tragedy. Funeral Services for Trevor Williams, who was the starting center for the Mayfield Football team the last two years, will be Sunday afternoon at Mayfield High School with his visitation Saturday afternoon and evening also at the High School. Please keep his family in your prayers this weekend...and extra prayers that the bodies of fellow Mayfield senior and football player Mackenzie Stanley, and Graves County senior Jacob Scott's bodies will be found soon so that the families can have some type of closure in this terrible tragedy.

Thank you and god bless you all!!!

Prayers for all. Hope they find the young men.

This tragedy has been on my mind all week. I continue to pray for all involved and too hope that the bodies are found so the family can have closure and will be a first step in the grieving process. Angels are with you all.

I am at a loss for words, but Goldie says it perfectly here.

Thoughts and prayers for these young mens family & friends. This really breaks my heart.

Prayers for these families and this community coming from Greenup County.

Trevor Williams, funeral was today...Please keep his family & friends in your thoughts!

Any updates? I continue to check up on this but no updates. Thoughts and prayers still with these families.

How tragic! LARGE prayers coming from NKY!

DITTO, Our prayers are with the families.

Still lots of volunteers and emergency workers searching each day. With the weather I am sure the search has been suspended for now.

I know that the community of Mayfield, Graves County, and West KY have donated over $35,000 to help fund the search efforts!

Keep those prayers coming!

Evidently the lake has a very strong current and the fear is that they may have been carried down to the dam... if I am incorrect please tell me, but I remember the dam as being hydroelectric - producer of electricity w/turbines. If that is so, the young men may never be recovered. Let's all pray for the best!
