While most Elliott Co fans has stated they feel Elliott Co is #1 in the state at this point, very few have predicted a state title.

Did Anderson Co. hold the ball the whole game like they did against Scott Co.?

Lets not predict Sweet 16s, or final fours until we get the drawings and region champions. There are going to be some tough games between now and then and anyone that starts predicting might be watching instead of playing.

I have to give credit Timmy picked it up in the second half, but in the first half he acted like he wasn't gonna play defense because he wasn't getting the ball enough. He needs to grow up and quit being so hard on his self when he can't make a play.

Just a thought here. Scott County beat Anderson by 15 on the same neutral court a couple of weeks ago. This post is not to say SC is better than Elliott -- we'll find out that answer in March. But, after SC won by only 15 (in a close game until the end) people questioned SC instead of giving Anderson credit for being a good team. Now since they played Elliott down to the wire, it is all about Anderson being good. All I am saying is KY basketball is great. There are good games night in and night out and this was obviously just another one. Very few people thought Mason would SC a tough game and that one was down to the wire, just like this game.

Why is everyone so hard on T.Knipp he is only a sophmore. Just give him a another year to mature and the defense will come.

He has matured each year since his eight grade year and I see no reason why he will not continue to do so. He should arrive by next year and possibly by this March.

My prediction was fairly accurate. I said it would be a close game with Elliott pulling it out. Also I said neither team would reach 70 and daggone I would have been right if it weren't for overtime. I seen highlghts and it looked like it was a great game.

I expect both of these teams to be in Rupp Arena.

You're kidding right? MC having more top 20 wins? Elliott done beat GRC by more than 20 in a scrimmage game and took out AC last night. Not counting they beat the #1 team in WV in South Charleston and went to the Beach ball and took out some of the best teams in the Nation.

 

EC was already ranked #1 in some polls and inside the top 5 in others.

MC or J'town wasn't as big as AC, except for the Reeve's kid for J'town.

AC had alot of big guys down low, both of those teams would have lost handily to AC if they had played them last night. Neither looked impressive at all. Elliott came out cold and struggled against the bigger team, took their lumps and came back out in the second half and showed what were capable of.

I'm not trying to bash Elliott at all and you saw I gave them their credit for hanging in there and being able to come back and get the W. Good teams find ways to win ball games, but let's give other teams a little more credit rather than always trying to pump our own team up. I know I'm guilty of this at times as well, but you'll see I ALWAYS give other teams around the state the proper respect that they DESERVE.

I think you may want to re read my posts in this thread. I never once said AC wasn't a good team, and have REPEATEDLY said this was a VERY GOOD win for EC. :confused:

 

Why is it that any out of state team EC plays would be top 10, top 5, or best in the state? Again, let's not try and pump our team up too much. Give the other top 10 IN STATE their credit rather than trying to make the EC wins look better than they might have been.

 

Also go back and look at the recent EC game threads. You'll see I rarely even post in them anymore.

Stuff like this, is what im getting at. Wireman say's they beat a top 20 team and then you come off with Jeff Demling blog saying they weren't even a top 25 team. You did go on to congratulate EC on the win. But you had to belittle them first.
