Elijah Pittman is a great player I would say #1 in the state. But with the players that Holems has 5 great players starting, and Pittman is getting dobbled every night than some one on Holems should be avg. 35 a game.

 

I wouldn't leave any one on Holems open.

 

Holmes will never have anyone average that many a game. They're too balanced. Pittman is getting doubled every night and averaging 20 and 10 a game while Riley and the Johnson Brothers are averaging double figure PPG as well.

Not sure to be honest. I'll try and get the stats tonight after the Holmes/HC game and then post something.

The only time that I saw him really frustrated last night. Was when the BW kid about pulled his jersey off all the way across the base line (in front of the ref) and when he turn around and knocks his hand off his jersey he gets call for the foul. Villa coach says something about it and gets a T.

 

When did he miss open threes he had player or two hanging on his side all night. Its was funny I was sitting around BW fans last night and they even said BW was fouling with no calls. Thats just the way it is some nights.

 

After coming off 49 point game this was not Bryans best shooting night. Also I know he has been sick all week went in school late two days. But no excuss BW has a good team.

 

 

You probably know alot more about Bryan then me because you have probably seen more games then I have. I saw him talking to the ref alot and then he would turn and smile and laugh. That usually means that someone is laughing about the refs calls because they disagree. Could be wrong because he is the speaking captain and him and the ref could have been sharing funny jokes. As for him being late to school from being sick, thats a stat none of us knew. Maybe it's pretty obvious stuff that we should all know. I didn't see that many no calls. The kids gaurding Byran picked up about 9 fouls combined and that's not including help defensers fouls. I thought it was a pretty decent games by the refs all and all. I'm not a fan of either team. I'm going to have to disagree with you on this I would have to say this was probably one of the worst officiating crews I have seen this year. Bryans versatility showed tonight and how he isn't just a scorer he was less forceful and to Villas disadvantage they had probably one of the worst shooting nights they have had this year.

He passed much more and was much better with not forcing unnecessry shots, the only reason most didn't see his versatility is because the entire team had a very unsuccessful and out of the ordinary shooting night.

Not forcing up unneccessry shots. Did you go to the game? almost every shot was either a turn around, runner, or fade away. He even missed some where his feet were set. But he definatly forced shots.

From what I saw in the Beechwood game, Bryan thought he was too good to be on the floor and was constantly trying to impose himself upon the Beechwood players by giving elbows, shoulder bumping, and the other typical actions a player tries to take acting like they are tough. I hate to say it, but Bryan probably weighs about 150 pounds and tried to shoulder bump Daniels and Romes. Lets just say as an observer I would've enjoyed seeing Bryan try and do that to Daniels on the football field.

On the heels of Villa's trip to the region last year where they almost knocked off St. Henry, Bryan is helping put Villa's program on the map. This thread has had 85 replies and 1464 views. Every year Cov Cath has a wealth of talent that does not survive the cuts or sees limited P.T. If Villa continues to progress, I would not be a bit surprized to see some B to B+ players who might otherwise consider Cov Cath end up at Villa.

I was watching the same game you were d1, and I was simply saying that when I observed the game, Bryan was messing with the wrong Beechwood players. I was simply saying that I would enjoy watching him try and get away with what he did to several Beechwood players on the football field being that he weighs about 140-150 pounds and trying to get cheap shots on guys like Romes (185 lbs.) and Daniels (210 lbs.) I've seen Beechwood's football team rally around eachother when someone from another team cheapshots or tries to get their licks in after the play is over and whoever tries it gets repaid on the next play. I hope the basketball team responds this way.

Lol really? Get over it. That's the most ridiculous thing I've read. This isn't football it's basketball. You don't retaliate. What does football have to do with this at all? I really doubt Romes or Daniels minded at all they're big boys, so why are you whining about this?
