  1. Number 23 Zach Steinkoenig pitched two innings for Villa and I think only gave up one run. He is their most talented player this year and is expected to be the leader on a very young team. He is a very athletic player and plays a very good centerfield, he also adds a decent bat to the lineup.
  2. He passed much more and was much better with not forcing unnecessry shots, the only reason most didn't see his versatility is because the entire team had a very unsuccessful and out of the ordinary shooting night.
  3. I'm going to have to disagree with you on this I would have to say this was probably one of the worst officiating crews I have seen this year. Bryans versatility showed tonight and how he isn't just a scorer he was less forceful and to Villas disadvantage they had probably one of the worst shooting nights they have had this year.
  4. Lloyd beat Newport earlier this year so I dont know about calling Lloyd not a ball team, speaking of Newport, they just beat NCC tonight by 1, Lloyd can be a scrappy team and if they are shooting well can be a good team. A lot like Dayton this year.
  5. You also have to take into consideration that Bryan is an 18 year old junior and has an age advantage over most starting lineups. His strength is what makes him the kind of player he shows with his versatility of getting to the basket and being able to finish. The only problem I have with him is that he DOES try to do it all himself, and as previously stated in the thread there is a supposed lesser talent around him. Granted Love won POY last year, but there is no sane person who can say that shooting or turning the ball over on 71% of his teams possessions is helpful to the team. THe team is young and very athletic, Schuh and Schroth start also as juniors and could provide for scoring help, but the chance isn't presented because of what I think as a lack of trust. If Villa even wants to contend to make the regional tournament again this year, they will have to start playing more of a team oriented game, where Bryan still gets his 25+ a game because the opposing team will also have to worry about two other scorers and not just Bryan.
  6. I think Dayton wins this one in a close game, Bellevue's #21 Jones will singlehandledly have to keep them in the game and I dont think that Dayton will have an answer for him. Dayton 69 Bellevue 64
  7. Once Bryan figures out that his teammates can help him and he starts to trust his surrounding players, Villa can be a tough team.
