They probably could mean protect him from all the guttings and bashing that kids like Euton, Zollo,and some of the others around have to put up with when it gets made public who is interested in them or where they are going.

 

Interesting point! I had looked at it as the kid deserved total privacy(which he does). But, looking at the two you have mentioned, they have been punished unmercifully by some posters for their choice.

I agree. After we played Scott Co I went up and talked to Euton. I congratulated him on the win. and I was looking forward to watching him play at UK. His parents were there and were so appreciative, also a little shocked, that I took the time to talk to them , especially being from the opposing team that night. One thing many forget, is that these are young high school athletes playing the game they love and hopefully getting to live out their dream.

If the worst player in KY accepted a scholorship to UK I would be extremely proud of him. He has reached a dream that thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands, or more have longed for. To continually watch someone punished for choosing their dream, whether they are still in high school or at UK at the moment, makes me somewhat ashamed that I am a UK fan. Lets please try to put things in perspective, rather than saying we are UK and thats how it is! Judgement will be passed when our lives are over. Judgement should be passed on athletes when their careers are over!

Maybe somewhere he wants to go might have a spot, yet (transfer, grade casualty, etc.) and they can't commit yet, hard telling. A shooter like him will always find a place to play.

 

A shooter like him will always find a play to play, I agree completely and by waiting he will only improve his chances of going to one of his schools of choice.

I am sure that Ferg is just concentrating on helping his team win each time out. With the early signing period gone I'm sure after the season his attention will turn to offers and evaluating each one. I often compare Ferg's game with that of Lofton. Lofton's right place and decision came after the State Tournament was over. Ferg too will find the right place and fit for him.

He is just a ridiculous (in a good way) long range deep shooter to not find a good place to play. Many teams I've seen on TV this year could use someone that can flat out shoot the ball from deep. This kid's range is once he gets inside the building.

I have said it since last season that Ferguson is the best scorer in the state of Kentucky and I haven't seen too many people around the country that can score the ball like he does and I have watched a lot of AAU basketball. He will have his options after this season to play. We have to remember that he still has almost all of his senior season left to impress the coaches. I can assure that he impressed several coaches this past week at the Beach Ball Classic.

Ferguson will be successful no matter where he chooses to attend, or when he makes his final decision. He is an excellent athlete and wonderful young man. I wish him well.

I love watching this kid play. Theres not too many players who can pull up from 25' and hit consistently. I will continue to watch him play no matter where he goes to school.

I think Ferg will get a free education somewhere. There will be a school that will be a good fit for him. I personally know him and he is a fine young man!

I heard from a very reliable source that Eastern Tennessee State University was interested in Ferguson.
