That is a big "IF"...

The last 3 coaches got little support, and with Fryman still in charge I don't see that changing...

First test may be when the FB team goes up against the band for use of resources.

Does the band use the practice field, too?

Dont worry about the mule going blind, just load the wagon.

If Poynter was at Trimble for 3 or 4 years, why did he only have 2 assistants and both of them 1st year coaches last year?

Just drive to Trimble County one day and you will know why, it isn't the most populated place in Kentucky. I would say teaching positions played a role in it.

Good luck to Coach Poynter!

A variety of reasons...most of which included changes in jobs or job responsibility. Some, in my opinion, left because there was a supposed drop off in talent coming this past year. However, Coach Poynter certainly didn't let that stop his team. He searched for ways to be competitive...that's how he found and why he utilized the A-11.

This is a much different Bourbon than the one he was at with Dudley...

I wish him luck, he will need it.

He will find a way to get it done... why don't you offer some help to make it like it used to be?

The help is not wanted. The top person is where the biggest problem is, and there is no changing her.

I hear that Poynter had quite a showing of players and coaches at weightlifting yesterday. :thumb:

I obviously don't know the history, but it IS a new chance. Give Poynter and his program a chance.

Coach Poynter is used to dealing with adversity in other jobs and struggling to get what he has needed. I am sure he will handle the situation at Bourbon Co. Best of luck old friend!

I have been apart of or had close ties to several programs around the state, some very successful and some not, but I had never seen a place like Bourbon.
