"Face of the Program"

Featured Replies

Not Northern Kentucky but the face of Leslie County High School Football is obviously Tim Couch. One of the greatest athletes in H.S. sports history.

Here's Tim in '95.

Jack Hall-Elkhorn City/Fleming-Neon

Tom Larkey-Rockcastle County

When i think of Dayton High School I see the The Wrobleski(SP) family.....

Rule 13

Boyle County - Chuck Smith (no brainer)

Danville - Sam Harp would be the obvious choice. However the shadows of Tom Duffy are long for some from the 80's.

Harrodsburg - Alvis Johnson

These are just some of the faces I think of when I think of these programs.

Homer is a good selection. The Enquirer has Dale as their selection:

"Mueller has won seven state titles; tied for second most in school history, and two runner up finishes in his 15 years as head coach."

"Tied for second most in school history"? Am I reading this wrong? To my knowledge, no one in HHS history is close to Dale. Are they talking about Kentucky history? If so, who's #1 and who is tied for second with Dale?

Yeagle has 8. Don't remember who else has 7 but you can find it on the KHSAA site.

Yeagle and Harp.

I would say that he has a very valid argument.

I can see how at Leslie County , Tim Couch would be the "Face of the Program". Who else from Leslie County would you choose?

Yeagle and Harp.

Actually I believe that Harp has 7, not 8. :thumb:

I do agree that Tim is the face of Leslie County High School, the part that I don't agree with is Tim being one of the greatest athletes in H.S. sports history. Heck,I'm not even sure that he was one of the best football players in high school history. I.M.O. athlete describes a ton of people, not only in football, but in all sports.Yes,Tim was a great Q.B. ,but I.M.O. not the greatest athlete.:thumb:

Yeah, I meant that he's the other with 7. Sorry. Clarity was a problem this morning.;)
