Great showing for Elliott County in a loaded tourney. I'm sure the Lions had their sights set higher than the "consolation championship", but they proved that they can play with the big boys.

Rain on their parade if you want but the facts are they played 4 very good teams and won three of them. They faced several division players and held their own or better against them all. Congratulations Lions you deserve everyone admiration and respect. Oh, the answer to your question is yes, definitely.

I guess it was actually seventh if you study the consolation bracket. I am much more concerned with the fact that they played 4 high quality teams and beat 3 of them.

I wish everyone could just be happy and supportive of a local team. These boys have dedicated a HUGE amount of time and energy into their chosen sport and deserve our congratulations and support in all their accomplishments.

I seem to remember a few years back when Scott Co won the consolation bracket in this tournament and I do not recall the negativity, especially so early!
