Who would they move to the 40th district????

I hate to see any more teams move out of the ninth -- The disappearance of Scott, Simon, Campbell and Brossart has already hurt the feeling enough..

 

I will however concede that as a shift occurs, things will have to be done.

Do you think Marshall County might be moved into that district?

 

Very good possibility, very good because the districts might be a little more evenly matched. 2nd District of Tilghman, Marshall Co. and McCracken and 4th District of Calloway Co., Murray, and Community Christian of Paducah. Just a guess but either Marshall Co. or Community Christian will be the ones to move if the KHSAA decides to go that direction.

I have heard Montgomery is going to the 16th region and Clark to the 11th.

Being this is all good natured speculation, if Montgomery Co. went to the 16th and Clark to the 11th you could possibly see the 37th district of Harrison, Bourbon, Paris and Nicholas become the 40th. Fleming Co. move back to the 39th with Mason Co., St. Patrick, and Deming. The new 37th District would be Bracken, Augusta, Pendleton, Silver Grove, Campbell Co. and Bishop Brossart. The 38th District might have Calvary Christian, Scott, and the new schools from the 9th Region. This is my idea of a rough draft of a new alignment. Very Rough!

Not sure who from the 9th will move, but currently the Kenton County Public Schools are in 3 regions.

This is kinda crazy. With the new Boone County School (Cooper) there was some minor movement in within the 9th this season.

 

Not sure who is the next to leave the 9th is but I see it coming.

My idea is to do away with districts altogether. Just have a regional tourney with all the teams playing. Single elimination. This will free teams up so they dont have to play their district teams twice. Just a thought. Teams can beef up their schedules and play stiffer competition

I still like to see local competition. District games always carry a little more weight in the regular season...

Has the KHSAA talked about redistricting? If they have I haven't heard anything about it.

IN the 1st region, when McCracken consolidates there have to be some redistricting.

Muhlenberg is consolidated as well.

 

 

When did Muhlenburg decide to consolidate both their schools?

Seems like some want Paducah to merge too.

One would think that once the Paducah area has consolidated and the building is opened, they would start moving schools west. I would think that Livingston and Lyon would be two school considered to go to the first region. With that in mind, schools from either region 3 or 4 would be considered to go to the 2nd region. I think they would try to keep at least 16 teams in each region.

Why would Clark go to the 16th, when they are less than 40 miles from almost all of the schools in the 11th.

Who is leaving the 16th to make room for them...would they be in the district with Bath, Rowan and Menifee? I am sure they would move Fleming back to the 10th. Boy this could be a mess.:creepy:
