December 27, 200817 yr Hairston in left if they don't get anyone else, that would be interesting. I don't like that at all
December 27, 200817 yr I hope they add a big time bat for no other reason except to move Phillips out of the 4 hole. He's not a 4 hitter and never will be. Put him in the 2 or 6 hole and he will do great things.
December 27, 200817 yr He can steal bases but he will go thru Corey Patterson like slumps. Many people have advocated for small ball as opposed to power ball.

December 27, 200817 yr Lots of if's on this team next year if we don't add a big bat in the OF. If there is no big bat, I'm guessing we can expect a lot of hit and run baseball. I would hope that EVERYONE knows how to bunt before the season starts.

December 27, 200817 yr So, help me out here. What did we play/give-up for Taveras. Good move IMO. Terms have not been released
December 27, 200817 yr Well, I have long chided the club for being brutally slow, and they have improved that situation. LF really seems to be the big? now. So the numerous holes the Reds have had in their lineup are slowly being filled.
December 27, 200817 yr Hey, why not??? The guy can flat out hit...:thumb: He probably has the most power on the team and a nice swing.
