I am sure this has been addressed already but considering I just started reading this thread and am only on the first page, I have to ask now, these guys avg 36.8 ppg combined correct?? And now someone has suggested they avg 18.4 shots supposedly a game combined. We do realize that these guys aren't shooting 100% on the season, and furthermore, they most likely have made a few three pointers and free throws, considering they are good players and guards who should draw fouls and have a few threes. So Mrs Hoops 69, I think you are wrong with this stat. If these two guys shot 18.4 shots a game the most they could avg would be about 55.2 ppg if they only shot 3's and made them all, they are not doing that. They might hit close to that many but I am going to assume they shoot a combined 30 or more shots between themselves a game.

Yet Evan Faulkner signed with Radford University already (oh yeah, that is a D1 university) :sleep:

And, for what its worth, I believe the Faulkners are great players. I was very impressed last year with the Bryan Station duo last year as well as the Holmes duo also and think that this is a less obvious choice then some people have acted. Still, all individuals named are great players.

 

I have always liked watching Lex Cath's duo and while I think they aren't at the level of some of these guys on this list, they are definately great leaders. Botkin can really bring it and make some big plays while Vee is an obvious scoring star however I sometimes question his play decisions.

 

Holmes and Scott co both have 4 legit D1 starters in their lineup. .

Yeah, he's a guard. The biggest knock on him has been that he is a little short to be a forward and a little slow to be a guard at the college level. I think he has that worked out this season and will make a find 2guard in college.

Well you didnt study far enough!! I said they are averaging 36 per game combined. That is 18each. if they take 9shotsand hit five and two are threes

that is 12pts add in 6free's presto 18pts thats easy to do. Here is solid proof! Last night Evan 5-7...Ethan 5-10 that falls right into my figures on shots per game. Two of Ethans was 3's so in their SEVENTEEN combined shots they hit ten which was 22pts. They like 14pts to get my combined 36. They hit 23 free'throws which actually equals 45 combined which is quite larger than the average I posted. My stats are 100% correct.

A completely unbiased observer here. I have not seen the kids from Holmes so I cannot comment on who is better but if they are better than the Faulkners or Ferguson then my hat is off to them. There is an intangible about the three from Elliott that I simply cannot describe.

Agree with the short, but definately not the slow. He has a super quick first step. His only knock is waiting to see who all happens before making a choice.

There was at least one OVC school that told him he would have to improve his lateral quickness before they would offer a scholarship. Like I said, he looks a little quicker this season and that is going to make his stock go up. I will say that he isn't as tall as listed on the roster.

I dont think his quickness is a ? mark. He is very quick off the dribble. :thumb:
