Which school has the highest enrollment. Is it Rowan, Boyd, Greenup, or Ashland?

I listened on and off while watching the UK game. It sounded to me like Delaney carried Ashland while Collins carried Fairview.

One of Ashland's announcers said he was the best player in the region. :sssh:

I watched them a couple of times at the AIT and he didn't play much anyway. I looked to me like the transfer Wessel was taking his time.

And still a freshman? He is what he is and to my knowledge it is his first year of varsity sports. Maybe you guys are confusing him with his sister. Speaking of avoiding questions once again Bill I have to ask you if you have a problem with kids repeating a grade or if you just have a problem with kids repeating a grade at Rose Hill?

Well if he is a freshman he has been there for 9 years.

Only kidding but it does seem that every other thread is about Elliott. I fully expect to see a thread discussing their shoe sizes. With that said I really hope they win the state championship.

Could someone give me more information about them. I could only find around 300 threads about them on this board.

I believe most of the boys at Elliott are held back does that make them less impressive? I cannot tell you how many at each school but I can assure you it isn't just Rose Hill doing it. Apparently some of you have never seen the Lions of Boyd Co. play. Rose Hill wins going away.

If regional championships is the barometer then I will agree with you but then Boyd Co. has the better program than Ashland. You cannot tell me that you believe for 1 second that Ashland would have 4 regional titles if they were in the same region as Mason Co.

Don't know anything about Wolfe Co are they pretty good?

Great points. I remember a recent commercial for the Paramount Art center that said that the Paramount was build because Ashland was considered a "boom town." I know that is a little off subject but I think it supports your point. Things change. FWIW, I grew up in the Ashland area and think it is a great area but it has shrunk considerably over the past 40 years and that in itself is a tough thing to overcome.

A couple of things. 1. I was amiss in not mentioning Henry Clay. 2. Based on Syndrome X post one would have to say that a comparison between Ashalnd and Boyd migh be more appropriate. Based on past records if we include Ashland amoug the mighty in the state the we need to include Central City.

I have no statistical information to support my claim but I think that most people across the state would say that Clark Co. has had more success over the past 25 years. Comparing regional titles is like apples to oranges due to the strength of the respective regions. If I'm not mistaken, and I very well could be, isn't Mason and Clark in the same region? My point is and remains that the days were Ashland is a major player on the state level are no longer. Not a slap on them but a declining population and the emergence of large county school such as Clark Co has been major contributors.

I agree. Looks like the 64th district will be highly contested this season.

Yes I am older than 18. For the sake of arguement lets say I am 18 that would mean that I was 6 when Ashland last accomplished anything worth mentioning and as ballbrain stated this is a young Ashland team I would venture to guess that none of the current players has any recollection of Ashland' great run in 1996. Speaking of rules if I gave out my actual age would I not be violating rule #5. So to be safe let's just go back 20 years to 1986 if it helps feel free to go back to 1981.

6th. Can't finish higher than 5th if you lose in the first round which Blazer did. Once again you had to go back 12 years to find an accomplishment. How many times has Clark forfieted district games in the past 10 years?

Head to head they have handled Ashland and Clark has never finished 6th in the AIT.

I would be careful about underestimating Scott Co.
