Mighty? Not in my lifetime. When I think mighty I think Mason Co., Scott Co., Lexington Catholic, Ballard, Male, Clark Co., and programs like that, not Ashland.

How much credibility do you guys want? Almost everyone has said that Elliott is one of the top 5 teams in the state. Is that not enough? Enjoy the ride it could be a once in a lifetime event and quit trying to convience people how good they are, if they can't see it then there is nothing your going to write that will change their minds. Great job by a team that anyone who knows anything about basketball, heart, and effort appreciates.

What in the world is going on at Greenup? Blown out by a team that finished 6th in their own tournament and now handly beaten by a team that is struggling.

I does appear that all of them lost. Biggs said in the paper that it was a showdown between Eastern Kentucky and Northern Ky. Not much of a showdown.

I beg to differ. There are some who still think that Ashland's past somehow has some effect on the present. I have heard about the tradition, blah, blah, blah for my whole life and the reality is that Boyd Co. has won more 16th region titles in my lifetime.

The play has not been inconsistent. Raceland, Powell Co., and South Floyd are not good. Boyd has on game plan if the opponent is vulnerable to it then Boyd has a chance.

When the other team insist on you shooting layups you have no choice but to score. Game after game no adjustments are made. If a team can handle the pressure (which isn't very good) then they will shoot layup after layup and Boyd will continue to try and fit a square peg in a round hole. Subsitution decisions are also puzzeling.

A completely unbiased observer here. I have not seen the kids from Holmes so I cannot comment on who is better but if they are better than the Faulkners or Ferguson then my hat is off to them. There is an intangible about the three from Elliott that I simply cannot describe.

Not to get off the subject but Boyd Co has won more regional titles during my lifetime than Ashland. Pre consolidation days mean nothing. Ashland was 4 times bigger than their opponents back then. Wins over Frogtown, Mossey Bottom, Vatican City, Rockdale and Avendale padded their record.
