This article about Elliott is interesting because of what paper it's from

Great publicity for a small school -- Why can't we just get that kind of work from the Cincinnati paper?

I would say ths is a BIG honor to get an article in the USA today paper. Nice job Lions . You impressed a lot of people and KY is proud of you.

Good publicity for EC.

I found it interesting that at the end of the article it says something like" By posting a comment I affirm that I am at least 13 years old".

Nice article, and great recognition for Elliott County.

Great publicity for Elliott County. I'm really happy for coach Rick Mays and his team. Rick's been coaching for many years and he and his kids deserve all accolades.

Great observation by USA Today about a great bunch of kids from the hills of Kentucky.

Americans have always pulled for underdogs and Cinderellas.

EC has a chance to make their mark on the history books this season. :thumb:

Good article, but not the first time a KY team has gotten press from USA Today. Back in 1983 tiny little Carlisle Co. was featured on the front page of same paper. Comets went on to state runner-up title with triple overtime loss on a tip in at the buzzer by Henry Clay. Carlisle was lead by one of their stars Coach David Henley of Holmes who Elliott may have to go through if they want to become state champs.
