No shocker here, this will be a good career move for English.

He is a very good recruiter. I thought he would either take a better job or go west. He should however be able to recruit the state of Michigan with his ties to the state. When at Michigan he was great at getting California kids. If he can do this at Eastern he will do very well in the MAC. I like Ron English and wish him well. He is a coach I thought Rich Rod should have kept.

This.

I have said this many times, I like Ron English as person, but what has he done that is so wonderful the past couple of seasons to warrant him getting this position?

Best of luck to Coach English... :thumb:

He will be missed and will be tough to replace.

^ I don't expect any, I look for Bill Miller to be promoted as the new DC now, it is an excellent choice for the Cards at this time...

I am hearing rumors of a couple more coaches leaving. I have also heard that QB Emanuel Yeager has decomitted.

^ they expected yeager to de-commit with Froman's commitment, AND the Qb's they already have....just not enough room....I have yet to hear of more coaches leaving, though it would not be a surprise because asst. coach's come and go year to year, in college.
