Who were the schools? Nevermind, I found it. Looks like he had offers from Oregon, Utah and California. Sounds like a good get.

Don't kid yourself this is a pretty significant blow to the program. English was not only hired for his ability to coach defense which he has done very well but also for his ability to recruit especially in the western part of the country. The kids liked him and believed in him. He will be a tough act to follow.

He drove me crazy for years with the Vols on this very thing. He is a real good guy that's had some great players go to the NFL, though.
