Cats Get 4-Star WR - Chris Matthews

Featured Replies

His body type and 4.5 speed sounds like the Keyshawn Johnson mold of WR. It will be nice to have Cobb in the slot with this guy.

My thoughts exactly. I'm visioning a Mike Williams type guy who we all know didn't turn into much at the pro-level, but was a beast at the college level. With tall athletic guys like this in the realm of college football all you have to do is get the ball to them and where they are the only ones to catch it, and 99% of the time they do.

Cobbs ability to make plays with the ball in his hands will make him our version of Wes Welker, and like said I'm hoping for some big things out of Boyd.

If only we could land a 4.3 burner to go on the outside, then we would have a complete, and ideal receiving corps.

Very nice news to come home to...

Enter Derrick Locke.

Alphonso Smith at tailback.

If Lindley, Jarmon & Micah Johnson all come back, the defense will be even better.

I like how next season is shaping up, although I'm worried that UK may lose Coach Sanders and how that may affect the QB situation (and, more importantly, the QB recruits).

He has come a long way since the Tip O'Neill days.

Now...if they can just find someone to throw the ball to him....:D:p

It was there.... I had to.

They've got a verbal from a 4-star QB. :p

We'll be sitting pretty in 2011 when those guys are ready to play SEC football...:D

Being a JUCO won't Matthews only have 2 years?

I didn't read anything about Matthews...I just assumed he was a high schooler. The initial posts didn't say anything about JUCO and thats all I read.

If he can catch the ball, he will see the field. Far too many drops by the Cats this season.

I only made it to post #2...:D

He has come a long way since the Tip O'Neill days.

I was wondering how long it would take for such a reference.

Go to YouTube and search for "Chris Matthews Football" and just watch...

Me too. Someone had to do it. :D

Morgan Newton should be able to find him quite easy..
