December 15, 200817 yr Was the Secret Service in on this? How did the guy get off a "second shoe"? I think they were in disbelief that someone would honestly throw a shoe. But in all honesty I'm not sure how the SS would have stopped a gun man. The majority of the SS could be seen piling out of a back room after the second shoe was thrown. That's not exactly the best place to be to protect the most powerful US citizen.

I'm pretty sure they probably checked for guns, bombs, a knife, etc. I don't think shoes were on their check list. I'm sure the President was safe there. And, yes, this video is absolutely hilarious!
