First part: If you ever go to this part of the world, you're told to not cross your legs or prop your feet up to expose the bottom of your shoes--it's a sign of disrepect to do so. So, throwing your shoe would be a major sign of disrespect. Also, he called Bush a "dog", which is another major insult. Dogs are treated poorly. You will find strays all over the streets and most treat them very badly. Second part: This is the exact reason why they should be thanking Bush instead of insulting and disrespecting him.
