What a bone head move. You just fired a coach that put out good defenses but lackluster offenses and replace him with another defensive coach. If I was an Auburn fan i'd be ticked off too.

I think it's obvious why Turner Gill didn't get the job at Auburn, despite being more qualified than Chizik.

Probably a stop-gap for this year until lining up somebody bigger?

I wouldn't go that far they interviewed several minority candidates. Plus Chizik is a former Auburn assistant. I'm sure the BCA will give them an F on their report card regardless though.

Yeah he got one. Up until Thursday or Friday people in the Athletic Directors office even thought that Gil was going to be the next head coach.

Can not believe they hired him. You have Saban at Bama and this is who you hire. Not good for the tigers.

There is no way you can prove that. Gill may not be the best fit for Auburn. I by no means think this is a good hire but everything isn't about race and every decision in the south isn't made because of racism.
