Most Memorable Game You've Seen IN PERSON

I have seen alot of wild and exciting games, but the ones that stick out the most (in no particular order):

- UK basketball beats Florida State 106-81 in 1993 NCAA tourney to advance to the Final Four

- UK football beats Florida State in last year's Music City Bowl

- UK football loses to Tennessee in 4 OT's last season

- UK basketball beats Florida at Rupp a few years ago (when UF had Walsh and Roberson)

- Senior Day when Chuck Hayes was a senior

- UK basketball beats Georgetown College in an exhibition game (significant because that was my little girl's first UK game)

- UK beats Aubun in about 1997 but memorable because Derek Anderson blew out his knee

I think there are others, but those are the ones that stick out right now.

The most memorable game I saw was in 1981 at Stokley in Knoxville between Kentucky and Tennessee. The Vols had Dale Ellis that could absolutely shoot the lights out when he was hot. Kentucky had the twin towers down low. My memory has gotten a little weak as I approach a half-century this next year, but I do remember the Vols could not stop Melvin Turpin as he scored over 40 points. I also don't believe Sam Bowie was much of a factor in this game due to his leg issues (he may not have even played). The Vols won the game in the end with the use of the infamous 4 corners that the lack of a shot clock allowed. They couldn't stop Turpin but they did stop the rest of them.

The Vols didn't win against the Cats much in those days, so it was an historic Saturday night for us. The other memorable event of that night was that it was my second date with my wonderful wife of 26 years (I remember that very well - probably due to the fact that my anniversary is Thursday and I can't forget it ;)).

Easy- 1998 Final Four. UK Wins 7th Championship

2001 UK/UNC game

2003 Florida game at Rupp.

2002 Florida game at Rupp.

#1 UK versus Florida with my wife and son, the first game we attended together.

#2 My first one at Rupp.....UK vs Mich St. in 1999, Cats come back to win a close one.#3 My first one UK at Notre Dame 94-95 season (man that place is small).

Either the UK-Louisville game a few years back when Francisco Garcia hit that three from darn-near midcourt to thrust the dagger in, or the Louisville-Boston College 2OT game back in the '90s.

I also was at the UK/UNC game when Prince hit what seemed to be 7 or 8 three's in one half.

One of the best I have attended in Rupp.

I was at the 1996 Final and that was special.

Cedrick Jenkins tip in to beat Louisville at the buzzer in December of 87.

That was a great one too!!!

Rex destroying Louisville in Freedom Hall was a fun one.

Rex's double clutch buzzer beater against Ole Miss was nice in 1987.

Hmm...

UK/Duke 2001 in the Meadowlands. Game went in to OT. I believe Jason Williams hit about 24 three pointers that game. Cliff Hawkins was on fire at first... Caruth was as well. I think the final score was 95-90. Exciting game.

Murray State vs. SEMO - 1999 OVC Championship. Aubrey Reese hit a near half court shot to give MSU the victory and send them to the tournament.

The Florida Uk game when Matt Walsh and David Lee and Anthony Roberson were together, Rondo and Morris's freshman year.... Gators came in ranked number 1 and the cats beat them...I distinctly remember a specific chant about Matt Walsh and his being...well nevermind

:thumb: This is mine too, 2001 UNC/UK game. Prince hit 5 straight 3's in what is one of Rupp Arena's loudest moments ever...

That's probably the only time I've been to Rupp that it got rowdy.

I was at that game and that is one of my favorite games ever :thumb:

I do remember Roberson being a beast though. He was pulling shots out of everywhere in that game.

Yep that was great!!!!

It seems that I remember some sort of cheer as well.....didn't it rhyme with the cheer Noah got later when he was in RUPP?

Yeah, he was unconcious.....him and Rondo got into it on the other end of the court....I remember Rondo pulling one of the sickest dribbles I have ever seen in my life and getting called for traveling, for no other reason than it not being humanly possible!
