I don't think we can say that with 100% certainty. If you're saying they could have found the money in the boosters' pockets, I can agree with that. However, I believe the school President would not allow that much money to be raised to simply fire a football coach.

On this one unless your source was the school President all else was pure speculation. From the talk not even the AD had any say in it.

I wouldn't give Ty a whole lot of credit. He already destroyed another program since his tenure at ND.

1. We don't know what the issue was, personally I don'y think ND wanted to pay him the buy out..

Yea, Notre Dame should have gave Ty more chances. :lol: As someone else already said he has gone ahead and destroyed another program already. Weis might not be the answer, but how anyone can argue that Notre Dame should have given Ty more time is a joke.

Weis just needs ONE MORE year.

 

I guess this is great news for Cincinnati fans. They don't have to worry about Kelly leaving just yet. It's even better news for a majority of people on Notre Dame's schedule, gives you that extra bye week during the season. :lol:

How Ty ever got hired at ND to begin with is a joke. When he won the Pac-10 at Stanford, it was before Pete Carroll got going and the conference was as bad as it had ever been.

IMO, the reason for keeping him around another year is that they'll have a better shot at Meyer after next football season instead of this football season.
