Florida/Alabama: Who wins?

Nick Saban is loving the underdog role.

 

I am pumped for this game. Bama is the only team in the SEC that can stop UF on the ground. UF's biggest weakness is run defense and Bama runs the ball well. I look for it to be a lot closer and lower scoring than some are thinking.

I'm with you. Saban and 'Bama has heard nothing but how Florida is unstoppabled for the past month at least...any discussion about the best team in the nation seems to revolved around Florida, Oklahoma, Texas with the occasional mention of USC...Alabama gets completely left out, yet they are the team that's undefeated and rated #1.

 

First, I think 'Bama is much better than people are giving them credit for. Second, don't underestimate the motivation factor for a team that is undefeated and rated #1 and is being completely written off.

 

They're a tough, gritty team that's going to bring it for 60 minutes...they'll have something for Florida. This team isn't going to get steamrolled. How does Florida respond to a close game that's still up for grabs in the fourth quarter? They lost their only close game this season...

 

I like Alabama in this game.

This is a personal one for me....I am not an SEC fan, nor am I Florida fan by any stretch, BUT, my mom is a HUGE UF fan, but has never seen them play live. Now here's the kicker, my mom is battling cancer for the second time in her life, this time it's been back for 6 years, and she is on chemo, has the wig, etc.....(I am not asking for sympathy, just giving some background here)....anyway, she and my father have Dolphin season tix, with those come the opportunity to buy tickets to the Orange Bowl, AND the BCS Championship when the rotation dictates it to be there. SO, long story short, I am praying that UF wins so my mom gets to watch her beloved Gators in the championship for the first time in her life. :thumb:

Great story and I hope she gets the chance. I, also am not a UF fan, but I respect Urban Myer and believe that UF's experience will help them. That, and I really don't like Nick Saban. Respect him, just don't like him. I also think that Bama is still very young and this stage may be more than they are ready for. Tebow, Harvin and the other Gators know what it is like.

U.F. is a big favorite but lets see now....Bama is ranked #1 and all they have done is come out and win. The Tide is not fancy at all, they just play old school smashmouth football. Also, as another has said all that Bama has heard for weeks is how awesome Florida is, the Tide is unbeaten and ranked #1 with No One talking about them. Saban has to be loving this and imo they are going to come in with an "Attitude".

I think that Alabama will get this one, with that offensive line as good as there is in the country, a solid running game setting up the play action pass and an always strong defense imo Bama gets this one in a classic. ROLL TIDE ROLL!!
