December 1, 200817 yr Where do you see 8 eligible teams going. Florida and Bama are obivious going to the BCS That leaves us with: Georgia 9-3(probably a lock for the Cap. 1) Mississippi 8-4(lock for the cotton bowl) USC 7-5 LSU 7-5 Vandy 6-6 UK 6-6 UK and will go to which ever tennessee bowl that Vandy doesnt. USC to the outback and LSU to Atlanta.
December 1, 200817 yr 1. Florida/Alabama winner - BCS National Championship Game 2. Florida/Alabama loser - Sugar Bowl 3. Georgia - Capital One Bowl, Orlando 4. Ole Miss - Cotton Bowl, Dallas 5. LSU/South Carolina - Outback Bowl, Tampa 6. LSU/South Carolina - Chick-fil-A Bowl, Atlanta I'm not sure where these two will go; LSU beat South Carolina; neither is playing well right now; South Carolina would likely bring more fans, just because Florida would be a step up for them - step down for LSU 7. Kentucky - Music City Bowl, Nashville Music City will want Kentucky because Vandy will bring no money; all Vandy folks already in Nashville; no room rentals and limited dining for them. 8. Vanderbilt - Liberty Bowl, Memphis
December 1, 200817 yr Here's my stab at it: 1. Florida - BCS National Championship Game 2. Alabama - Sugar Bowl 3. Georgia - Capital One Bowl, Orlando 4. Ole Miss - Cotton Bowl, Dallas 5. LSU - Outback Bowl, Tampa 6. South Carolina - Chick-fil-A Bowl, Atlanta 7. Kentucky - Music City Bowl, Nashville 8. Vanderbilt - Liberty Bowl, Memphis

December 1, 200817 yr I pretty much agree with the exception of #7 and #8 flip floping. Those are the two that I'm the most positive about. The Music City Bowl would be stupid to take Vandy.
December 1, 200817 yr Will the Cats get a bid? Who have they beaten thats going to a bowl themselves? 6-7 if they go.

December 1, 200817 yr Will the Cats get a bid? Who have they beaten thats going to a bowl themselves? 6-7 if they go. Considering the SEC has 9 bowl tie ins and 8 eligible teams, I'd say they'll get a bid :flame:
December 1, 200817 yr Will the Cats get a bid? Who have they beaten thats going to a bowl themselves? 6-7 if they go. UK "has to" go to a bowl game. SEC is committed to 9 bowls and only 8 SEC teams are eligible. Look out Nashville, the Cats are back in the UKIT (aka, The Music City Bowl)!!

Rumor has it that it would likely be UK vs. UNC in The Music City Bowl (but that is just an Internet rumor).

It may be true that they have to go, but going to a bowl after all they've been through is still a very positive thing. Its critically important to get an extra month of practice and it shows stability in the program (3 consecutive bowls). Our problem this season is that we were a couple of plays/injuries away from going to a good bowl game and now we're all disappointed that we've finished the way we were probably expected to finish before the season started.
December 1, 200817 yr Not to be mean...will the Cats score 2 TDs against anyone they play in the Bowl?
