December 3, 200817 yr The bowls don't really like "rematches". I don't think the Cats/Cards would play again in a bowl. The Gators beat us we will have one loss to a top 5 BCS team #2 in the AP, but I wouldn't want a rematch. Just like Texas coach Mack Brown said..."I'm not happy with the decision (Sooners playing in Big 12) but I'll deal with it". I'd feel the same. We have a chance and if we lose even by one point, we lose, no rematch.
December 3, 200817 yr I think UK wants the Liberty Bowl. CRB talked about wanting to give the upperclassman a new experience bowl wise. Both MCB and Liberty are lobbying hard, especially the the Liberty Bowl. UK is going to work with the conference to get it squared away. Barring pressure from the SEC Office, UK will be in the Liberty Bowl.
December 3, 200817 yr Brooks is not happy with moral victories. However, they have had some high quality wins in his tenure (UGA & LSU come to mind). How great is it that nobody, especially the coaches and players, are happy with a 6-6 record at UK? When Mumme did that, most were singing his praises. Usually, UK could expect a losing season after the occasional bowl game. Before the season started most were predicting anywhere from 4 to 7 wins. Had any of us known we would lose Lyons and Locke, nobody would have predicted 6-6. This is a great point!
