I look for E-Town's passing game to win this one for them.

To win this game North Oldham needs to run the ball to keep it away from E-town's offense and score first. North Oldham is very disciplined and plays hard, but will not be able to play from behind well against E-towns passing attack. E-town picked apart a good Western Hills defense last week, but also gave up over 350 yards on defense. After seeing both teams in person - E-town 42, North Oldham 24.

I am going to stay on my HORSE! I just really like what NO brings to the field. I think that they can beat you in so many ways. Some of those kids live near me and I have got to know them and I think that they are earning their rewards.

 

Take away all of the football stuff, their heart and determination will be a factor in their victory.

I thought we were going to play football? Just kidding. Should be an interesting game. Both teams are very confident and E'town has been in this situation many times. That could be the key, can North handle the pressure? Should be a very good game. I've seen both teams play and both have positives and negatives, I think this game will come down to turnovers.

PigSkinFan, you are so right! The Mustangs HAVE to get at least nominal pressure on the Etown QB, or it won't be pretty.

 

Lots of pressure on the NOHS DL...

 

But...to add to that...Elizabethtown has given up some points and yards this year...we all get caught up in the flashy offenses, but the strong, fundamental, efficient running games often get the prize. Remember the NY Giants when they won the Super Bowl over the pass-happy Buffalo Bills and Jim Kelly? You can't pass for TDs if you can't get your hands on the ball...

 

And that NOHS OL is very, very good - strong, quick, and experienced.

 

To add a little intrigue...it's going to be colder than you-know-what Friday, with a high of only 36. Sometime during the game - probably early - it will drop below freezing. It'll be interesting to see how - or if - that affects the Panther passing game.
