I think the key is the North offense vs. the Etown defense.

 

If Elizabethtown is unable to prevent North from playing their ball-control (which isn't necessarily "running", although that is what they do best) offense, then it may be Etown that's in trouble. On the other hand, North can't afford to have a lot of three-and-outs, handing the ball over to that explosive Panther offense and keeping the NOHS defense on the field...

Welcome to Bluegrass Preps MrFish500. E-town is very good but I think they are overlooking those Wild Stangs from Goshen.

Both teams looking to prove something Friday night...North has only beaten three teams with winning records (Western Hills 6-5, Shawnee 6-4, and Henry County 6-5), and E-town has only beaten two teams with winning records (Western Hills and Shawnee). Both would like to get a signature victory under their belt...

North beat CAL also Colonel. I believe they finished (6-5). That was the last game on the old field if I remember correctly.

I have seen both teams play. Both beat Western Hills. Elizabethtown has some top skill players and they can come up with the big play. North is steady and they do not quit. North seems to be on a mission This will be a battle.

Unfortunately, that too, was hardly the signature win these teams would gain by winning Friday...

 

That was the last game on the old middle school field (thank God!!!! I had to set up a table on top of a small shed at the 35 yard line and broadcast from there. No fun!)

I can assure you that Etown isnt overlooking North Oldham. Their record speaks for itself but also this is the playoffs so any team is dangerous.

#30 better bring some help to stop Etown WRs; Because I can tell you Knute that one guy will not stop him!! and if you double Gohman you better be ready for Deneen to hurt you as well.

This has been a great year for the Mustangs. From humble 0-10 beginnings on a middle school football field to a 9-1 record on a beautiful new football complex; the Mustangs are starting to believe! There is still a chip on their shoulder and that is what they will need to play that tough Etown team. We have a stingy defense and a very talented offensive and more importantly I don't feel the team has given their "all out" yet this year and this may be the night that it happens. For both teams, my heart goes out to the seniors, no one wants to hang up their cleats and no one wants this season to end. I pray for no injuries on both teams and may the best team win!!!
