Gallatin 33 Bellevue 28

Featured Replies

Any details to this game. I thought that I heard it announced that Bellevue was up in the 4th quarter. Anyhow, I thought this game had to potential to be one of the best match-ups of the 1st round.

Huge win for the Gallatin County Wildcats. Some small schools in the southern part of NKY are doing OK for themselves. BTW, have they had low numbers all season?

We started the year practicing with around 30 kids...however we have been playing all season with about 20 or so dressed...with only 15 or so of those playing significant time...I could not believe my eyes as the night unfolded, all of the posts from last week saying that our first trip to B-Town was a fluke, that Bellevue did not show their hand, etc...nonetheless, our guys are amazing...they never quit, and with the exception of the Frankfort game, have been in every game this season...quite an accomplishment for a 3rd year program!

By the way, I am a proud parent...as if you could not tell!!!

Wow, it gives you a different perspective of what the small schools have to contend with each year.

As you should be. Everyone in Warsaw should be proud. This is a big deal for a program that is 3 years old. You have a good coaching staff and is on the right path. I see nothing but positive things happening with your program. Just stay behind the staff and the kids.

I didnt expect this, nice win by GC!

Saw this one on the news, did not expect it would turn out this way. Happy it did though! Congrats to the Wildcats!:dancingpa

Anyone have any stats?

This is very disappointing but hats off to GC on the big road win. Im sure it made the bus ride back to WArsaw a blast.

Congrats to the Bellevue seniors for a great season and to all the players for that matter. Barrett looks like he had a great game from what I read in the paper.

Congrats to Coach Tim Browning and the Wildcats. Good luck next week. All of Warsaw will be there to support you.

Congrats to Gallatin. Not as big a surprise as one would think.

I have felt that Bellevue was overrated all season.

When comparing apples to apples no they were not overrated.

When comparing to larger schools or schools with open enrollment then maybe.

Didn't feel like they got better as the year went on. So maybe they weren't overrated in the beginning of the year. But by not improving by the end of the year maybe they were.

Way to go Cats keep up the good work. Congrats on First playoff victory.

"On any given day any team can be beaten" PROOF POSITIVE

Simply put, Bellevue made too many mistakes (5 turnovers). Gallatin didnt. Congrats to Gallatin.

But on the flip side, had they played a tougher schedule, would they still have had the same record that they had going in to the playoffs? I think that's what he may have meant by them being overrated all season.

Bellevue only played 2 teams who finished the regular season with a winning record. (Beechwood and Newcath)
