No, we know who won Florida in 2000...it's just sad some can't let it go.

So that's reason enough to just completely disavow the man who held the office as Dems did with Bush?

This one won't be decided by the Supreme Court ... that alone makes it more legitimate.

The 2000 election was not decided by the Supreme Court. It was decided by the votes in Florida and the failure of Al Gore to win his home state. Give it a rest.

Right or wrong, many will see President Bush's victory as an appointment rather than an election.

That's their problem. The man won the ELECTION and Gore wasn't man enough to accept it. If it makes you (general term) sleep better at night to say Bush was appointed then what's that say about you (again general term).

I certainly supported President Bush when he was first elected, even though my beliefs differed from his platform. I did, unfortunately, find more things to be displeased with than to agree with.

You obviously haven't let it go or it wouldn't be a topic in this thread. Maybe Obama stole this one with voter fraud. Maybe McCain should take it to court. Sounds dumb doesn't it.

MANY democrats gave President Bush a chance and supported him. You may want to criticize Obama from minute one, which is your right, but don't use the excuse that "the Dems" didn't give Bush a chance. Plenty of us did.

If Obama does everything he says hes going to do then I don't have a problem with him as a President. However, its just hard for me to trust Obama being he seemingly came out of nowhere and came up so quick. Also previous issues with his quote on quote buddies/influences such as Jeremiah Wright and Farakon scares me to death.

Why are we talking abut Bush Obama is the new Prez like it or not. Should be intresting what happens the next few years. I think he is stepping into a perfect situation, so good luck to him and to America, we will need it.

The election and the 2000 election can never be on the same level. This one has been a no brainer. A court had to decide the 2000 election.
