Great win for our boys and coaching staff. Raceland had an off night and still walked away with the W, signs of a great team with great coaches.

 

:thumb: Absolutely! this raceland team doesn't get too high or too low, they stay focused. hat is the sign of a good team as well. We didn' thave our best game by a long stretch, they did make the plays tey had to down the stretch. I can't say enough about how Tyler Boyles kept hid cool at QB a1nd did what he had to do in running this team. The WLGC radio guys couldn't stop complimenting Boyles as well as Denton and Carver.

 

I am sure that our coaches will go to work in correcting the many mistakes this team made tonight and get them re focused for next Friday and then the playoffs.

 

Russell played well and I am not trying to take anything away from them at all. They kept it close with a chance to tie or win late. Russell will be fine, good luck to the Red Devils in the playoffs.

Really...if someone could watch that game and claim either team had an "off night", then your perception of the game of football is much different than mine.

 

Raceland fans, you got the win! You are the better team this year! I get the feeling some of you are disappointed you didn't beat Russell by 50. The fact is Russell came to play tonight. This was a COMPLETELY different Russell team than any other team has seen this season...and yes, you are still better! Enjoy it.

You've not seen much Raceland ball this season. The Rams played well but not up to their potential. Hopefully they can put it all together from here on out.

Congrats to the Rams they deserved that win but the pick the score for Raceland comment not cool. Russell is down this year and still only lost by 7 thats cool. Good luck in the playoffs.

FYI...........this one is coming on channel 24 right now (time warner cable).

I sure thought that Raceland would win by a larger margin. Here's one I don't understand, how in the world do you march it down the field by running the Power-I and then abandon it? Russell would have made some hay with that formation had they continued it. I didn't quite get that one. And there were only around 6000 folks shy of 10,000. However, I think that 3000 of them drove.:irked:

On a side note, I'd be careful opening my yap as Ram fans. Sometimes an alligator mouth overturns a hummingbird hind end. Best if you savor this one quietly and move on businesslike to next week and keep the prize in sight. Much work to be done. :thumb:

I do want to say that maybe all the Russell fans (that most are suddenly absent from this thread now)that were complaining about the seating accomodations, parking and anything else they could think of at Raceland last year...........I am glad that you got a good parking spot and had a comfortable seat tonight to watch Raceland win this one, giving you the 2nd straight loss at home and esxending your losing streak to 3 games now.

(And some wondered why Raceland fans did not post on the prediction thread untill today,lol)

You guys can hack on Willy, but I've seen Raceland once anyway before, and frankly Russell was the main reason Raceland didn't put up 45. I think he has a point. I agree with Willy. And some are trying to hedge their overwhelming Raceland predictions by explaining the narrow margin away as a poor effort. Enjoy this victory folks, but giving the opposition some due is in order.:thumb:

I agree 100%.

 

I can understand how Raceland must have looked like world beaters against powerhouses like East Carter, Fairview, Greenup County, Paintsville, Paris, and Nicholas County...but the fact is they have managed to beat the 3 good teams they have played by 3, 2, and 7...and judging from the score that Johnson Central hung on Ashland tonight, I use that word "good" teams very loosely...as it is pretty obvious that it is a different brand of football that the elite teams play in Southeast Kentucky and Northern Kentucky. Raceland better reach their unlimited "potential" that their fans have in mind before they play Beechwood!

 

Raceland had no turnovers tonight and played the power game to perfection. Russell should be proud of their effort tonight no matter how anyone tries to belittle it. Sour grapes? I don't think so. Raceland is the better team this year. It's just difficult to read such biased posts.

To be honest I was very dissapointed in Racelands offense! Russell was lining up 8-9 guys in the box and raceland just kept running the ball. The out and slant was there all night! Oh well a win is a win I suppose. Defense played strong the second half! Congrats to the rams!

We will worry about that one when and if it comes, there are no promises week to week. This team stays focused on each week, each opponet. Beechwood is a powerhouse team and program, no doubt about that. "IF" that games comes about we will talk about it then. :thumb:
