October 26, 200817 yr I must say that i was shocked in how little they let Grothe make plays....All week I was freaking out about his running prowess, yet they didn't let him do it. His two best plays were when he was scrambling for his life. This Louisville defense played so very hard today. Tey have the potential to be the best Cardinal defense in 17 years....that's a true statement.Last year they game planned rollouts and option runs for Grothe. This year the OC is intent on making a pocket passer out of him, yet in the Syracuse game, he let Matt be Matt and he passed better and ran longer. I get so frustrated I can't see straight at times.

Turned out they cordon off the handicap spaces and we had Louisville's finest standing behind us most of the game. BTW - We were sitting next to Trent Guy's grandparents. Really nice couple.

October 26, 200817 yr Oh, and Scott Long is the man. I couldn't be happier for him that he's back healthy and doing well, he's a great receiver and a great guy. Credit who you want, but it looks like that pressure worked GT.

They sent a decent amount of pressure and Grothe did a great job at avoiding a lot of it. Was I was getting at is that they needed to stop any running game from USF put the pressure on Grothe and make him force the ball. He played pretty well but threw a few picks and that was the difference in the game.
