I hate the playoff system. IMO it should be the top 2 in the district - if you cannot be one or two sorry about your luck.

While there is a bit of injustice when a 1-9 team does not make the playoffs and a 0-10 does, there has to be a line somewhere. The team(s) right below the line will almost always have an argument against the system. However, I think the current system either needs to include everyone or be more inclusive, say the top two from each district.

 

If McCracken County Schools consolidate in the future, which has been proposed, this will be a non-issue for Reidland anyway. The question will then be how they re-district 2-1 since I believe they would lose two schools (Reidland and Heath), but I suppose that is looking too far forward.

I'd prefer having 2 teams/district go into the tourney.

 

It's a nice, simple fix that doesn't require bye's and still reward the district champion by allowing them to host the first playoff game.

Morgan Co. at Corbin and Leslie Co. at Bath Co.

Desales is a very good football team ,a class act through and through...they are well coached and come right at you....I saw them against Carroll County.they are huge up front and have a very good running game.Carroll did have some success throwing it.They dont beat themselves.Good luck to whoever plays them.they are a fun team to watch.A very classy bunch!:thumb:

NCC repeating what, their runner-up finish?? The game I watched at Papa John's had Fort Campbell 21 - NCC 7 on the scoreboard with 0:00 on the clock.

Who is the one team in 2A that doesn't make it this season?

 

Off the top of my head, I'm betting it's Reidland, out of the 2A first district. Sorry for the repeat. I posted before reading the rest of the thread. The way it's set up, it's more like the "no cut" teams that they have in a lot of the high school sports. As long as you're including everybody, why not just put each team in their own class and give state title trophies for every team, so nobody gets their feelings hurt for being left out? I think it ought to go back to the 4 class system, and the top 2 teams in each district get to the playoffs, and others can come and watch. Every time you think it can't get more ridiculous, it does.

So the AP voters have no clue as to what class the teams are in that they are voting for? Reidland 2A - Raceland 1A ? If that's the case...they should lose thier privilege to vote in future polls.
