Just noticed that if Fort Campbell and Monroe both win thier regions it would be a Falcon vs Falcon semi-final game.

 

If the radio announcers in that area are like a lot of the ones in this area, it would be impossible to tell what's going on. Around here they only use the mascot name and only tell the score when someone scores (sometimes the full score, sometimes only the side that scored) or at halfime and the end of the game. I live near the state border and have an unreliable analog dial on the radio. I never know who I'm listening to or what the score is either, so I gave up on the radio.

I agree with SEMPERFIFALCON about Fort Knox coming to town...Can't wait till opening kick off.

In the playoffs you can't rule out any team just ask green last year about metcalfe! I am quite sure that Green has really opened there eyes and are focused at this point, I am just not sure with Rogers out that they are as bad a threat as they were with him, anyway I truly look forward to a great playoff this year...and would love to hear the announcer call the game for both Falcons!!!FC and Monroe...would be a very interesting night to say the least!

Desales is a very good football team ,a class act through and through...they are well coached and come right at you....I saw them against Carroll County.they are huge up front and have a very good running game.Carroll did have some success throwing it.They dont beat themselves.Good luck to whoever plays them.they are a fun team to watch.A very classy bunch!:thumb:

Wow never knew that this was that high. Back in the 70's and early 80's I believe it was around 20% making the playoffs (District Champion). What a honor to make the playoffs now days. :irked: 32 of 33 teams make the playoffs, in some districts you can go 0-10 and still go. All I can say is WOW!:eek:

 

With the football season being pushed back another week. Going to 6 classes instead of 4, Why not take the top 2 teams in the district and making the finals Thanksgiving weekend. What are we talkling aprox. 50% go to the playoffs. Make the playoffs mean something.

There is only one five team district in 2A, so someone from that district will not make the playoffs.

 

District 2-1: Caldwell County, Heath, Murray, Reidland, Trigg County

That is why I say, just let everyone in and have an all inclusive state tournament. It would only add one week to the season, and you could do away with the buy week to off set that. Indiana does it with twice as many school as Kentucky. So, just let the other 31 schools.

I think the playoff format is pretty stupid now that I understand it a little better. I know of at least one team that is 0-10 or will be 0-10 and they have "made" the playoffs. When I played, it was work to make the playoffs.

I guess Reidland feels left out for being the only 2A team to not make the playoffs. Wasn't there talk about Reidland recieving votes in the AP Top 10 a couple of weeks ago?

They'll be watching an 0-10 team in the first round of the playoffs while they are left out. That doesn't seem fair.
