Barney Frank is already clamoring for a 25 percent cut in the military and he is also on record as saying that income tax hikes are inevitable A 25% cut in military spending would save the country approximately $125 billion dollars. If you don't think he's shaky, you didn't do the research or you are not being honest, period. I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I have found nothing in my research that tells me he is a "thoughtful, intelligent leader". What exactly was he the leader of and what were the results of his leadership? Many are simply hooked on the Obama Koolaid and will drink it no matter how bitter it gets. If we lose our technological edge over our potential adversaries, thousands of American men and women will lose their lives as a direct result. War is not an area where I want Americans to battle on a level playing field.

No, that's not what I'm saying at all. I'm saying to listen VERY carefully and do your own research. The Koolaid and Jim Jones thing was just an analogy/metaphor. When you're very thirsty you may just drink the first glass of water you see without considering what's in it. I don't have to tell you where to research facts about Obama UKPat02. I'm sure you know where and how to do it. There are so many that a listen to the mainstream media and consider that research and you and I both know that they are not telling the whole story on this guy. Although they have informed us of every phase of Palin's life, they are purposely leaving out large portions of Obama's. Are you saying there is nothing to the subjects that I asked Obama supporters to research? Is it all made up lies? Is it all dreamed up? Is he just misunderstood? If just 50% of these opinions of Obama are worthy of research I think he falls in the "too shaky" to be President of the United States catagory, which gives me plenty of reasons to not vote for him.

October 25, 200817 yr Skinpig, it is extremely presumptuous of you to assume that anyone supporting Senator Obama has either not looked into his record or is not being "honest". I have looked into his record. What I find is a thoughtful, intelligent leader that I believe is just what this country needs. I have trouble understanding why anyone would vote for Senator McCain, but I also understand that different people can look at the same issues and come to different conclusions. That is why we have elections. Relax. There will be another election in four years. That advice will work for all of us, regardless of who wins. Good post. I can't wait until November 5th.

I have no problem with spending money on our defense. It's actually one of the things our Constitution says to spend money on. You could save a whole lot more money but cutting 25% off of all of the entitlement programs.

You have evidently chose to ignore or to not believe ANY of the negative aspects (I asked you to research) of Obama and have no intention of changing your mind to the fact that he is shaky. Many of the hardest Obama supporters will admit he's shaky in some areas. IMO you must not be researching with an open mind. Therefore I will recall and apologize for any "honest" remark that may seem like I'm calling you a liar. Just remember...If he wins, and the House & Senate end up on his side (Way Left) as is expected, we better hope and pray he is a solid as you believe.
